A FREE HELPLINE  - 0800 51 11 11 is available for young people from 4pm to 10pm Monday to Friday. The service is confidential and won't show up on your tel. bill.

Asian Club of Enfield

A club for the Asian young people of Enfield. This club is run on Sundays in Ponders End Centre between 1pm and 4pm for 13-16 year olds. Also, there is a club for 14-21 year olds Monday nights from 7pm to 9.30pm. The activities for both clubs are football, badminton, basketball, pool and discussions.

Black Youth Work

There are several black youth projects, for example a project for students who are experiencing difficulties at school, a Girl's Group for 13-16 year olds and a group who work towards an annual Black History event which takes place every October.

Community Youth Work 

There is a team of detached youth workers based at Ponders End Centre. They work with young people between 11 and 19 in parks, housing estates or wherever young people gather. The teams also offer access to activities such as music, video and sports projects.

Duke of Edinburgh

The Open Award Centre opens each Wednesday at the Craig Park Centre between 7.15pm and 9.45pm. The Award has three levels, bronze, silver and gold. Young people from 14 years of age are able to join. the award offers opportunities to volunteer in the community, take part in exhibitions, develop skills in sports and hobbies, embark on new interests, meet new people and make new friends.

Enfield Youth Assembly 

Enfield Youth Assembly is established by young people and supported by Enfield Youth Service to improve the quality of life for all young people in the borough. It is an official process of true partnership between adults and young people communicating to reach common goals for all. 

The most common way to get involved is to be elected via a secondary school, youth centre, college or voluntary group. To fond out more visit the Youth Assembly's website MAD which stands for Making A Difference.

Special Needs/Disability Projects

The Thursday Club - 7pm to 9.45pm at Albany Centre is for young people aged 13-21 with educational special needs or learning difficulties. 

Summer and Easter Holiday Clubs are held at Albany Centre.

Support is also provided for young people who wish to access mainstream youth clubs.

The 18-25 Group  - 8pm to 10pm at Albany Centre on Friday Evenings is for young people aged between 18-25 with learning difficulties.

World Music Project

An opportunity for young people to explore many forms of music from different continents and cultures. 

A project for musical players, singers and rappers of all levels and styles that includes weekly jam and rehearsal sessions, end of term live performances and the chance to professionally record the music produced during the project.

Young Parents Support Group

This group meets on Wednesdays at the Enfield Foyer. It is for young parents up to the age of 21 and it provides an opportunity for young parents to meet, support each other, learn new skills and make new friends.

Youth Action Volunteering Enfield  or Y.A.V.E

The YAVE team provide individual young people aged 16 to 19 with volunteering opportunities in community projects. The young people volunteer for 15 hours and receive an accreditation and certificate, which can be used for their CV or UCAS form. YAVE co-ordinators visit every secondary school in the borough. They are also based at Two-e every Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm to arrange volunteering for any young person who studies or lives in Enfield.

Youth Workshop and  Motor Project

This project provides opportunities for young people aged 13 - 19 to develop and practice their mechanical skills on cars and cycles, welding and metalwork, bodywork repairs, auto electrics and woodwork. It also provides the chance for young people aged 13 - 17 to build and race a 1000cc mini in youth competition motor sport. The annual membership fee is £3 and there is a charge of 50p per session attended. 

Opening Times - Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7.15 - 9.30pm and Sunday mornings from 10.30am - 1pm.
